Sept 11th was trouble for the United States of America and can be seen by anyone who remembers. History books show how hard that day was for everyone in America, rather than just those who had family or friends die. Most are concerned that Obama does not think Sept 11th hit the country as hard as it did. Obama really offended Liz Cheney in his remark. She angrily replied to it. What exactly was the comment produced by President Obama?
The September 11th attack was something President Obama commented on. He also spoke about all terrorist attacks within the country. ”Obama Wars” is the newest book Bob Woodward wrote. In it, President Obama is quoted saying:
We can absorb a terrorist attack. We’ll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11, the biggest attack ever… we absorbed it and we are stronger.”
This small statement was enough to set off even Liz Cheney, daughter of Dick Cheney.
The comment Cheney made in response
Liz Cheney was outraged by this statement on the part of President Obama. She felt like The United States is in danger with Obama in control. He will not be using all of his power and resources to protect The United States like he should. She called for an explanation from Obama about this.
According to CBS News, she said:
Americans expect our President to…use everyeach tool at his disposal to find, defeat, capture and kill terrorists. We expect him to…make it clear to our adversaries that an attack on the United States will carry devastating consequences. Instead, President Obama is reported to have said, ‘We can absorb a terrorist attack.’ This comment suggests an alarming fatalism on the part of President Obama… The President owes the American people an explanation.
A conclusion is necessary by more individuals
The Obama terror attack comment is raising a few heads. Individuals would like an explanation. Bilal of 12 News wants to know why the president would ever say that. He was an additional one concerned about what was said. He wanted to know why the president would not be doing everything he can to protect America. There are also individuals just wondering why Obama would make that comment. Seems like like he is intending to make The United States the center of a terrorist attack. Since Cheney, and others, love to criticize the Obama administration, Mitch Marconi thinks it is all just an overreaction. It does not really matter if they are overreacting or not. Every person still expects Obama to explain.
